Ragi is also known as finger millet, and it has the highest concentration of anti-oxidants and phenolic content among all other millets and grains. Among plant foods, ragi is the richest source of calcium and iron, making it an excellent food for growing children. Calcium deficiency can result in stunted bone growth and a lack of sufficient iron can cause anemia.
